Weight Loss

The new Studies in the United States show that over 97 million Americans are overweight or obese. Excess weight is often accompanied by other comorbidities including high blood pressure, high blood cholesterol, type 2 diabetes, coronary heart disease, and other health problems. The total costs attributable to obesity-related disease approach $100 billion annually in the United States.  Authorities view it as one of the most serious public health problems of the 21st century. In 2013, the American Medical Association classified obesity as a disease.

The unfortunate truth is that the majority of Americans are unable to lose weight and keep it off. Whether is the everyday busy life that has taken over your exercise or healthy eating habits or plateauing of the bodies metabolism, most of the time, losing weight isn't actually the problem. Preventing the weight from coming back is what most people struggle to control.

What Is Body Composition

What Is Body Composition?

Body composition is the term used to describe the different components that, when taken together, make up a person's body weight. The human body is composed of a variety of different tissue types including lean tissues (muscle, bone, and organs) that are metabolically active, and fat (adipose) tissue that is not.

Standard body weight scales provide a measure of total weight, but don't determine the lean-to-fat ratio of that weight. Standing on most scales can tell you only if you weigh more than the average person, but not if that weight is fat or muscle. Based only on scale weight, a 250-pound athlete with 8% body fat may be considered "overweight" by a typical weight chart. Such charts are not a good indication of ideal body weight for general health or for athletic performance.

Lipotropic compounds are substances that help stimulate the breakdown of lipid (fat) during metabolism and, in this way, reduce the accumulation of excess fat in the liver and other tissues. Injections of carefully calibrated doses of natural lipotropic nutrients can improve your ability to metabolize fat. The liver plays a major role in human metabolism, including aiding in the digestion, storage and distribution of nutrients and the detoxification of metabolic poisons and waste products. The liver also produces bile, a compound that emulsifies fat so that it can be broken down by digestive enzymes. Lipotropic injections include important amino acids and vitamins that help break down fat and enhance the function of the liver.

Moreover, it is required for the transport and metabolism of fats and cholesterol within the body, which is important for the healthy support of the endocrine, cardiovascular and hepatic systems.

Methionine is one of the sulfur-containing amino acids (cysteine & cystine are others) and is important for many bodily functions. It acts as a lipotropic agent to prevent excess fat buildup in the liver and the body, is helpful in relieving or preventing fatigue and may be useful in some cases of allergy because it reduces histamine release. Patients with a Sulfa allergy should not take this injection. Inositol, a nutrient belonging to the B vitamin complex, is closely associated with Choline. It aids in the metabolism of fats and helps reduce blood cholesterol. Inositol participates in action of serotonin, a neurotransmitter known to control mood and appetite.
